It’s the Day before the Komen Tampa 3-Day for the Cure and Cheering Stations too!

I’m here in Tampa already! We drove over early because I had an interview taping at a show called Daytime. It’s taped at the WFLA Studios in Tampa. My interview should air on Monday morning and you may be able to see it even if you don’t live in the Tampa area. 🙂 Check their website to see. (If I’m able to get a copy of it, I’ll post a link to it on the blog.)

I was waiting to start...and was very nervous!

I was interviewed by Lindsay MacDonald and she was really nice and made me feel really comfortable. Even though, I was very nervous, once I started talking it was really easy. I even got the Energizer Bunny on the air!

Zoomed in with the iPhone 4...kinda blurry.

Yesterday morning, I did a radio interview with Mike and Lynn on 1010 Sports AM in Tampa. They were really nice…Lynn mentioned being at past Komen Tampa 3-Day for the Cure closing ceremonies and crying even though she is someone who doesn’t easily cry. I can imagine, I have volunteered at five Komen Central Florida Races for the Cure and the survivor ceremony is always a moving event. I love seeing the sea of pink…a huge symbol of breast cancer survivorship. 1010 Sports AM already sent me the audio and I’m sharing it below. 🙂

Cheering Stations – what are cheering stations? They are designated locations with plenty of parking for family, friends and supporters of the 3-Day for the Cure to come out and cheer on and support walkers. If you live in the area, you should definitely come out! We have some friends who live in Tampa and they might come out on Sunday…I’m excited, they have a really cute baby girl and would love to see her decked out in pink!
